Where does the name 1000pace come from?

Miles Benzies is the founding Creative and was exploring the etymology of his name.

“miles” in latin means roman foot soldier and a thousand paces of a roman foot soldier is known to be a roman mile.

”This got me thinking about a couple of things:

Firstly, in a time before cars, distances were actually measured in footsteps and so built environments were incidentally more human or animal centred.

Secondly, counter to the prevailing rapid pace of the world, I feel more at peace when I remember how old humanity is and think about some of the bigger time units like millenia (1000 years) or even centuries (100).

I am moving slowly, with space to heal, to feel and to be grateful.

This is a reminder to be patient with yourself, to really listen and find a pace of life that is going to serve your sense of peace.
